About

Jordan Durbin MS, CCC-SLP

Jordan is a Texas-licensed and ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist providing specialized, in-home support for children with speech, language, learning, and executive functioning needs. Her approach integrates executive-function–based support with DIR/Floortime® principles, focusing on how children learn and process information. Therapy addresses foundational learning processes like attention, language, memory, and regulation so progress feels meaningful and carries into everyday life. When these underlying skills are supported, children are better able to plan, engage, and learn more effectively. ___ Areas of Clinical Focus: ✔ Receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language difficulties ✔ ADHD-related impacts on communication, learning, and self-regulation ✔ Executive functioning challenges (attention, working memory, planning, organization) ✔ Learning disabilities, including dyslexia, reading, and written language challenges ✔ Autism-related differences and developmental communication support ___ Service Location & Availability: Therapy sessions are provided in-home within a service area surrounding Wylie, TX, including Rowlett, Sachse, Murphy, and nearby communities. Please reach out to confirm service availability for your location. ___ Insurance & Payment: Rooted in Learning is a private-pay, out-of-network practice. All major credit cards and HSA accounts are accepted. Superbills are available upon request for families seeking out-of-network reimbursement. Fees are typically discussed after an initial consultation, and session length and frequency are recommended following the initial evaluation. ___ Contact & Scheduling: Families can begin by completing the contact form at the top of the page. Jordan will review your information and reach out to schedule a brief phone call. This is a casual opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and explore whether Rooted in Learning may be a good fit for your child and family. If appropriate, intake paperwork will be sent and an initial evaluation will be scheduled.
